About Us
A Local Excavation & Concrete Company Built on Straight Answers
Appalachian Excavation & Concrete is a locally owned, family-operated contractor based in Asheville, North Carolina. We built this company around a simple idea: the crew that moves your earth should be the crew that pours your concrete, because the base under a slab determines whether it lasts five years or fifty.
With more than 15+ years of hands-on experience across Western North Carolina, we understand the ground here — steep grades, clay-heavy soils, seasonal saturation and freeze-thaw cycles that punish poorly prepared work. Every project starts with where the water goes.
Owner Ana Blas and our crew handle residential and commercial work: site clearing and grading, foundation excavation, driveways and sidewalks, patios and decorative concrete, retaining walls, structural block work, cast-in-place concrete and concrete pumping for hard-to-reach pours.

With 15+ years of excavation, grading and concrete work across Western North Carolina, Ana Blas knows how mountain slopes, clay soils and heavy rain behave here — and builds every job around getting the drainage and base right before a single yard of concrete is poured.
